INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS |
Revista da SPAGESP is a semestral journal of SPAGESP - Sociedade de Psicoterapias Analíticas Grupais do Estado de São Paulo. Follows the evaluation system by pairs (double blind review, process that preserves the identities of authors and consultants). It publishes original papers related to groups, family, couples and institutions, inspired in the national or foreign Link Psychoanalysis and/or related areas of Mental Health in general, that fit into the following categories: research reports, theoretical studies, reports on professional experience, critical reviews of articles, brief communications about researches, technical note, reviews of outstanding books and news. |
Form and manufacturing of papers

In order to be submitted to the Editorial Counsel of the Revista da SPAGESP, paper must not have been published before. Besides, they must be consistent and coherent in terms of theory and originality. The papers must also contribute to study and clinical practice of groups as well as to its use in the diverse fields of knowledge, especially in the Health and Education areas. In case of scientific work (original articles) which originates from thesis, dissertations, essays, lectures, conferences, among others, the authors´ view must be explicit and relevant to their professional background. The authors are entirely responsible for their papers and any content change will only happen under their authorization. Bibliographical presentation must follows the stablished orientations of NBR-6023/2000 norm from ABNT - Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas. Proceedings to process the paper Once received, firstly, the manuscript will go through a previous conference referring to the adequacy of the Publishing Norms (in case of discordance, it will result on the interruption of the process). Secondly, it will be forwarded to the Editorial Counsel to be sent and evaluated by the consultant ad hoc, being preserved the identity of the authors. The approved papers will be delivered to the Editor and then the authors will be notified by email concerning the eventual approval, rejection or need to reformulate any item of the article for publication. The published work belongs to SPAGESP and can not be totally or partially reproduced without an in writing authorization of the Editor. Originals will not be returned to the authors. Norms for presenting papers Technical criterion will be used for the selection of the papers:
Three legible, numbered, digitated in simple space copies of the papers must be forwarded with a disk or CD of the file attached. The articles must have a maximum of 2700 words, the book reviews a maximum of 700 words, and the abstracts of dissertations and thesis until 70 words in Times font New roman, size 12 (with 2 cm of margin in the 4 margins), format A4, addressed to the Conselho Editorial da Revista da SPAGESP, Rua Piracicaba, 616, cep 14090-230, Jardim Paulista, Ribeirão Preto, Tel.: (16) 3618-7119 or attached in file and sent to the e-mail: spagesp2003@ig.com.br The name and other information about the author must be on the front page, the title must be repeated separately in the first page, initiating the text.

It is possible to quote synthetically work from other authors since it is indicated the source. Literal citations must be precise and between inverted commas, also the number(s) of page (s) of the work consulted must be referred. Therefore there must be on the text the family name of the author followed by the date and pages of the publication. Ex: (FREUD, 1921, p. 100). When the transcription surpasses 3 lines a paragraph should be open, in font size 11 and without inverted commas. Example:

Bibliographical references must only contain articles which were quoted on the text and must be organized in this way: 1. Articles and chapters of book The surname of the author must be in alphabetical order (in capital letters), forename, title of the chapter (without bold), title of the book (in bold), subtitle (without bold), editing, publishing place (city), publishing house, year of publication, number of volumes and/or total number of pages, series or collection (in bracket). Examples: a. Complete book with 1 to 3 authors: BRANDÃO, M. L. Psicofisiologia. São Paulo, SP: Atheneu, 2000. 197p. b. Complete book with more than 3 authors: LODISH, H. et al. Articles published in scientific review Author of the article, title of the article, subtitle of the article (both without bold), title of the magazine (in bold), place of publication (city), title of the fascicle if there is one ( supplement/ special number), volume, number, pages (initial and final), month and year. Dissertations and thesis The references of Doctorate Thesis or Masters Dissertations must have: name of the author, title (in bold), subtitle (without bold), date, number of pages or volumes, category (degree and area of concentration), identification of the institution, place, and date of the publication. Example: SILVA, M. E. L. da. Pensando o pensar com pensamentos de W. R. Bion. 1985. 2v. Tese (Doutorado). Instituto de Psicologia, Universidade de São Paulo, São Paulo, 1985. 4. Article of daily newspaper Family name followed by the author´s name (initials), title of the article (without bold), title of the journal (in bold), place, abbreviated date of the publication, page and section. Example: LIMA, M. R.; SILVA, L. W. Energético pode dar final ruim à festa. Folha de São Paulo, São Paulo, 22 jul. 2001. Folha Ribeirão, p. C11. 5. Work presented in event and published in annals Author(s), title of the work (without bold), event, date, place, publication: date and pages. Example: FERNANDES, B. S.; JACOMIN, D.
